Endoscopy

An endoscope is a long flexible tube with a mounted camera.  Endoscopy is the diagnostic procedure that is done under general anesthesia. It allows a veterinarian to view inside your pet’s stomach, intestine, colon or respiratory tract to determine if there are abnormalities or to retrieve foreign objects without the need of a surgical incision.

If your pet requires endoscopy a specialist is typically brought into the clinic to perform the procedure.

We are happy to speak with you about endoscopy procedures if you have further questions.  Please call us at Banks Animal Hospital (416) 461-7575
